JOHANNA´S INTERNSHIP AT IGSSS IN DELHI
Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is a non-profit organisation working with the mandate for a humane social order based on truth, justice, freedom and equity. Established in 1960, IGSSS works for development, capacity building and enlightenment of the vulnerable communities across the country for their effective participation in development.
ABOUT MY WORK
In my 6-week Internship in Delhi at IGSSS, I was mainly working on:
producing a Documentary about E-Rickshaws
- First we started to plan the documentary and did a lot of research. Then we interviewed several Rickshaw Driver and people on the street to give a statment about the business and got film material we can work with.
Especially the creative implementation, the voice recording and cutting all our material with VideoPad was something I really enjoyed.
- project about waste-management
I was working on the implementation of an 1,5 week internship for a 9th class regarding waste management.
We started to create a short film about waste management comparing India/Delhi and Germany so the students can get an overview on this topic. Doing Interviews, going to different places for filming, doing research and writing texts for the voice recording were some of my tasks.
The physical output of this internship will be a compost as one way of reusing our waste. For that we build a compost with easy and cheap materials and I made a DIY/ construction Video on Youtube (How to build your Compost).
- Campain for Valentine´s Day
We made a Campain on Valentine´s Day to celebrate and appreciate Mother Earth and give back the love we take.
This Campain was a cooperation between IGSSS and Fridays for future.
We wanted all people to share a green heart. Regarding this I made a GIF and a big frame shaped as a heart. The idea was that all people could make photos with it and share the Hashtag #GreenHeartDay. Rising awareness, talking about our planet and climate change was our focus with this campain.
